This map pairs two unlikely locations, Lake Superior and southern Florida. The Florida portion was actually an inset in the upper left hand corner of a twelve sheet map. The 12 sheet map was based on John Mitchell's seminal 1755 map of the American Colonies. There are several fictitious islands in Lake Superior and a range of mountains in southern Florida. The map has light outline color.
